Inga Poslitur is a Russian-born representational artist. She brings a high-level of technical skills and aesthetic sensibilities honed from years working as an artist, illustrator, and muralist to both her collections of vivid landscapes and narrative-centric fantastical paintings. She is best known for her unconventional use of color and powerful composition, that evokes surprise and delight from viewers.
Inspired by blending elements from different cultures, which enhances her awareness of color, shapes, and patterns, Poslitur combines planned intentional creation with spontaneity that lends itself to deep emotional responses to her work.
Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited at The California Art Club, Salmagundi Club, NYC, National Arts Club, NYC, Santa Paula Art Museum, Art Gotham gallery, Iona College Council on the Arts, Afif Gallery, A.I.R. Gallery, Smithtownship Arts Council, New Rochelle Art Association, The Fashion Institute of Technology, Joseloff Gallery and STUDIO gallery, San Francisco, to name a few. Her paintings are enjoyed by numerous private collections in America and abroad. She is a full member of Audubon Artists, Inc., Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and an Associate Artist of the California Arts Club.
Inga Poslitur's passion is outdoors painting (plein air), traveling, and teaching art. With a BFA (FIT-NYC) and MFA (University of Hartford) in Illustration, she enjoys honing her skills by consistent, intentional practice, in the studio, by painting directly from life, and learning from her favorite contemporary artists. She is a full-time working artist and educator, currently lives in Northern California.
