A Sense of Place, a fine art gallery that represents the finest artists of Central California.
After years of working with artists throughout the Central Valley, I decided that I wanted to showcase our art in a gallery that we could be proud of. In December of 2012, we opened our doors for the first time, featuring just a handful of my fine art friends, and over the years, we have more than doubled our floor space and nearly quadrupled the number of artists we represent, many of whom have won major awards and have been featured in national magazines.
Our focus is on landscapes of the region: the Sierra, the farmlands, the rivers, and sanctuaries. Broad vistas, majestic landscapes, and peeks of the world near our feet. But we also feature fine ceramics, sculpture, and jewelry.
Our gallery is in a little tree-lined neighborhood pocket at the intersections of the historic Tower District and Old Fig Garden, right behind the newly renovated Fresno High School and just a few steps from the Big Red Church. We share our corner with another fine art gallery (Vernissage), a coffee shop (Kuppa Joy), the best ice cream shop in the world (Ampersand), and a variety of small, intriguing shops.
We offer classes and workshops in a variety of painting forms. I hope you’ll join us soon.
